2019 dates: August 23 - 24. The Kenlake Hot August Blues Festival is a Kentucky and Mid-South tradition. It began in 1990 at Kenlake State Park and has always been held the weekend before Labor Day weekend. Over the years, many of the legends of blues have graced the stage at the festival, at what is truly one of the most scenic settings in the nation for a music festival, with beautiful Kentucky Lake directly behind the stage, filled with a “navy” of blues fans joining in with the thousands of fans in the amphitheater [from website].
